As the evening shadows gathered on Saterday, June 23, our very dear friend, Mrs Jessie Glover, gave up all earthly cares and suffering, and her soul returned to God. She had been in ill healthfor sometime; however she was able to attend services at churchon last Sunday, and expressed her joy on being able to come back to the little church she loved. While there she walked over the cemetery where the flowers were blooming beautiful around themounds of her husband and children and expressed the fact that she was now ready to go since God had spared her to visit friendsand relatives in an all day worship at Rock Dale.
Five days later God said, "It is enough", and bore her soul to realms of eternal peace. Angles smoothered the tiresome reflection of all suffering away and her face shown with a radiance thatseems calm and peaceful. Her lips seemed to say, " None knows life's secrets like those who have received their vast reward."
The things that placed a crowning touch to her life, was the fact that years ago she gave her life to Jesus Christ, and lived atrue and consecrated Christian till death. Her life was beautiful and harmonious with the Golden Rule, her face ever radiant with a smile. Thus she was loved by all that knew her.
Mrs Glover was 71 years of age. Wife of the late Mr. T. E. Glover. She leaves to morn 4 daughters and two sons: Mrs Oscar Young;Mrs T. A. Kirvin of Shreveport; Mrs Eugene Elliott of Coushatta; Mrs J. M. Huff of Beaumont; E.G. and E.E. Glover of Bossier City, together with a host of friends and relatives.
Mrs Ada Slaton, assisted by Rev. E. L. Turner of Ruston, conducted the furneral at the Rock Dale Presbyterian church. Active pall-bearers were B. W. Hamilton, L.P. Smith, M. A. Colvin, F. T. White, S. P. Cummings and Loyd Stone.
The body was laid to rest in the Rock Dale Cemetery under the direction of the Drewett Funeral home.
Pastor and friends, through an inexpressible love, tender our sympathy to the bereaved in their hours of sorrow.

Dearest Aunt Jessie, thou hast left us, Left us here forever more. But we hope some day to meet you On that bright and happy shore.
